Der Highway #1 ist wohl die schönste Straße in Kalifornien und sicherlich eine der schönsten in den USA. Fast jeder Kalifornienreisende wird diese Strecke mit dem Mietwagen einmal fahren, um von San Francisco nach Los Angeles oder San Diego zu gelangen. Oder umgekehrt. Ich bin den Highway 1 bereits dreimal gefahren (das letzte Mal war die Strecke ab Big Sur wegen der Erdrutsche aber gesperrt).
